I do a little of everything - preaching, teaching, and pastoral care. I am helping to coordinate our EcoFaith team, facilitate our pastoral care needs, support our Stephan Ministers, and help to connect our congregation with the larger community.
St. Ansgar Lutheran Church, Transition Pastor

​Aside from the regular pastoral duties of preaching, teaching, worship leadership and planning, non-profit administration, and outreach, at St. Ansgar I helped to facilitate a process of reflection and transition. Utilizing the tools of the Forward Leadership Program in the New England Synod of the ELCA, I helped to facilitate a group of lay leaders in reflection and future direction setting. I worked to enliven the worship life and deepen the spiritual life of this community.
Arise Portland, Lead Organizer
​November 2014 - February 2018
Arise Portland came to be through a series of coffee dates, chance encounters, and deep conversations. This small and seeking community works to "celebrate and foster wholeness in Portland, Maine" through potluck brunch conversations, a book club, and a monthly conversation at a bar. I worked to develop, facilitate, and coordinate leadership of this community from it's very beginnings. And it now has a life of it's own and new leadership!
